FRIDAY 3RD JANUARY

MEMORIES MADE...

Very simply, what a wonderful week with an incredible group in an outstanding setting. With temperatures dropping to minus 7 degrees today we had our final ski sessions, packing in the full day before travel. Those pesky students just keep shaking off the tiredness in the legs as they fly around the pistes and the progress they have all made is staggering. The older generations (the staff) make mental notes to do more exercise preparation before future trips!

The final goodbyes to their beloved instructors were highly emotional as the realisation of the week drawing to a conclusion occurred. After a fish and chips dinner and final thank yous to the hotel staff, the St John’s staff and to the students themselves, the journey commenced. As we post this final entry we are making our way north to the ferry port.

It is really important to add that our students have done us proud at every exchange throughout this week. The feedback from anyone they have had contact with has been so positive and the levels of teamwork and support have been of the highest order.

We hope you have enjoyed this blog and it has given you some insight into this experience.

FINAL WARNING! The students will be very tired from this week and will need lots of sleep before Monday! If they show any grumpiness it is only because they are missing the hotel, instructors and the mountains...

Journey running as expected so current ETA is 11.30am.
