TUESDAY 31ST DECEMBER

GET YOUR SKATES ON! Blades, brilliance and balletic performance were evident in the evening activity!! From beginner to the highly experienced, thrills and spills were undoubtedly on display. The majority of the party had a cracking time on ice. Even the moon walk made an appearance (see the video!) Some of our most outstanding students have been given awards tonight- well done to those students, excellent effort! UPDATE Day 3 of skiing has once again seen some excellent progression and top quality conditions! Despite some aching muscles, to be expected, the students have all demonstrated a really admirable attitude and enthusiasm to skiing - amazing!! Tonight as it’s New Year’s Eve, we were all treated to a spectacular torchlit descent and cracking fireworks at the resort centre. MONDAY 30TH DECEMBER

WHAT A MORNING!!!  Beautiful blue skies and crisp ski pistes have made for brilliant conditions for our students.  Many were up bright and early eager to get straight out on the slopes - great to see so much enthusiasm!  With such excellent progress yesterday, a number of students have been moved up into higher groups this morning to match their ability. Well done to them.  Student quotes: ‘I want to go on a black run!!’ - Milly Drowne (one of our beginners!)  ‘This is a big baguette’ - Bailey Pearman  ‘We love Mark our ski instructor!’ - Millie Turnell and Ella Lockwood Tonight our evening activity is ice skating! SUNDAY 29TH DECEMBER

WHAT A START!!!!! A great night’s sleep for all meant the vast majority of students were actually early for breakfast. After croissants, pain au chocolate and much more the whole party was very quickly ready for the first ski lesson. The conditions are superb with great snow and beautiful sun and all students have been brilliant this morning, making great progress. Currently all are getting ready for the afternoon session and these students say: “I love Serre Chevalier!” Says Bea Kelly “The “drink of the day” is amazing.” Says Lucy Towle “The food is yummy.” Says Harry Harvard-Taylor UPDATE! An excellent afternoon’s skiing again under blue skies and no wind conditions. The instructors have been highly impressed by the attitude of all the students regardless of ability level. Tonight the activity is bumboarding and we have over forty students keen to take part in this strange activity! This takes place just a stone’s throw from the hotel followed by hot chocolate. SATURDAY 28TH DECMBER - WE'VE ARRIVED!

As a bit of a starter to the blog...the journey is progressing well. We stopped for breakfast at the planned stop of Macon and are now slightly ahead of time. We are starting to see the distant, snow-peaked mountains on the horizon and will soon start our ascent with an ETA of 12.30pm in resort.
